Hi there. Four weeks ago now I experienced excruciating pain and inability to move, after lifting a heavy plant pot incorrectly.
My GP would not see me and I was told I had probably torn ligaments in my back and it could take 4 - 6 weeks to heal. I have been taking Ibuprofen and Co-Codamol and using a heating pad.
I am still in pain and my mobility is still limited (having to take stairs at home one step at a time and unable to twist or bend very far) and even holding the kettle causes strain. I now have some tingling in my feet and hands, which I have phoned the GP about.
Is there anything you could do for me to speed the healing process up - as I work at the hospital and am very anxious to get back to work?
What kind of treatment would you be looking at, for how long and what sort of cost implication would this involve, please?
Many thanks
